FORMAT
Both in-person and online assessments are offered. Standard diagnostic assessments (with no neuropsychological testing) usually contain one interview session that can be virtual or in-person. Assessments involving neuropsychological testing are usually divided into two separate sessions: an interview (virtual or in-person) and a testing session (in-person).
AREAS OF EXPERTISE
Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), specific learning difficulties (e.g., dyslexia, dyscalculia), acquired/traumatic brain injury, age-related cognitive difficulties (both minor and major neurodegenerative disorders), and most mood personality disorders.
QUALIFICATIONS
Laurence Lai will complete his PhD in Clinical Psychology at Concordia University in
Fall, 2026. He is currently a student member of the Ordre des psychologues du Québec
(OPQ), and will be registered as a neuropsychologist with the Ordre des psychologues
du Québec (OPQ) later this year. He has received extensive training in both university
and hospital settings (including out-and inpatients), having completed diagnostic and/or
neuropsychological assessments on adults presenting with attention-deficit hyperactivity
disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), specific learning difficulties (e.g.,
dyslexia, dyscalculia), acquired/traumatic brain injury, age-related cognitive difficulties
(both minor and major neurodegenerative disorders), and a variety of mood and
personality disorders.
APPROACH
Laurence’s assessment approach prioritizes being comprehensive, evidence-based,
and individualized to each client. He is committed to providing recommendations that
help improve the daily functioning of his clients.
